柳宗悦『心偈』

63 「秋サブ　夏ヲ経テ」

We feel lonely in autumn,the summer has passed.

'Sabu' means loneliness, elegant simplicity.

Lonliness is an idea of Buddhism and autumn is showing its shape.

'Sabu' is said 'wabisi' and 'sabisi', it looks sad.

But the true meaning of 'Sabu' is a condition of passionate tenacity is taking a rest.

むずかしいけれど、「寂」がelegant simplicityとは、目からウロコ。

最後の一文も、訳はイマイチですが、ミニマリストの聖句になりそう。
