柳宗悦『心偈』

58「冬　キビシ　春ヲ含ミテ」

フユ　キビシ　ハルヲフクミテ

 It is severe in winter as it includes spring.

This poem is as same meaning as previous poem.

Winter is approaching, it snows incessantly and coldness is severe.

However this severity of winter includes spring in itself.

The coldness of snow feel us only cold.

It includes the coming of spring.

We each other put up with the severe winter having a hope of spring.
